Featured Presentation: Using your telescope, telescope selection and basic operations. How to set up your tripod and mount. Adjusting finder scopes and red dot finders. Using different kinds of telescope mounts.
Weather permitting this will be held outdoors on the church property, with outdoor viewing after dark. Members and the general public are invited to bring their optical equipment to this meeting for help and pointers.

Tonight is the peak of the annual Perseid Meteor Shower! In addition to seeing some great celestial sights in our telescopes, bring a lawn chair, sit back and catch a few meteors streaking through the dark skies of Nockamixon State Park – one of the darker spots in the county. This year a slender crescent Moon will set early, offering good skies for meteor viewing. The public is welcome to bring their own telescopes and binoculars or look through our club members’s scopes.
