Free Public Star Watch – Sat, July 6, 8:30PM (rescheduled from June 29 due to clouds)
July 6 @ 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm EDT
Free Public Star Watch – Sat, July 6 (No Rain date)
Join us for a star watch at the Tohickon Boat Launch parking lot in Nockamixon State Park ( Tohickon Boat Launch – Google Maps ). Sunset is at 8:17PM, although astronomical twilight doesn’t end until 9:47PM. The starwatch begins at 8:30PM. Participation is free and open to the public. BMAA club members will have telescopes available to look through and will be on hand to answer questions. Dress warmly (it can get chilly by the lake – even in Summer!) and bring binoculars or your own telescopes if you have them. We ask that you leave your pets at home for the safety and comfort of other participants and to prevent potential damage to delicate equipment. Note that this will be our final Star Watch of 2023. Thanks, and hope to see you there!
(Please check this website for updates in case the weather leads to postponement. Postponements, if any, will be communicated here by 5:00 PM on the day of the event.)
